This month I wanted to draw something a little closer to home, this happened in a small town just a few hours from where I live. I was reminded of this case recently after the Canadian Mint issued a coin to mark the 50 years anniversary of the event.
If you’d like to know more about this event you can watch this YouTube video.

Notes:
Despite me thinking that this month the comic won’t take as long, “how hard could it be it’s mostly just a prairie farm landscape …” Which may have been true if I didn’t have to draw a 1970’s Swather!
As always, I feel like I have only scratched the surface of this case. There is a lot more details if you watch the videos and read some other articles. One thing that occurred to me is that being a farmer, Edwin would have a good ability at assessing different types of equipment and judging size and distance. This fact is readily apparent in the videos when he is describing what he saw. In my opinion this makes him a great witness.
Until next month!
Absolutely great choice for a comic. An investigator could devote years studying this case.
The color palette is fantastic. Gorgeous artwork
